The Craft Cart Chronicles: Funny Moments from the Road
Hey friends—Jecca here, back with a little behind-the-scenes tea! ✨
Running a mobile craft party business is a dream come true, but let me tell you—it’s not always glitter and glue guns (though there’s plenty of that too). Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite “did that really just happen?” moments from the road. Because while every party is full of heart, sometimes the best stories come from the unexpected.
🌬️ The Day the Wind Won
I once set up the cutest outdoor bookmark station. Ribbons tied. Stickers laid out. Everything was picture perfect—until a gust of wind came through like it had beef with me. Before I knew it, I was chasing acrylic bookmarks across a yard like a scene from a sitcom. Lesson learned: clipboards and paperweights are my new best friends.
🌀 When the Wrap Wouldn’t Wrap
She picked the cutest tumbler wrap. It had daisies, her name, the whole vibe. But when it came time to apply it—let’s just say the wrap had other plans. It folded. It bubbled. It looked like it had been through a spin cycle.
Her face said it all: “This is not the Pinterest moment I was promised.”
We laughed, peeled it off, and started fresh. The second try? Perfection. The moral? Bring extra wraps and a whole lot of grace.
🙉 The Lady Who Didn’t Listen to Directions
Sweetest guest ever, but she waved off my step-by-step with a confident, “I’m good, I do these all the time.”
Cut to: wrap applied upside down, sideways, and somehow stuck to the table.
She cracked up, I gently jumped in, and we fixed it together. Honestly? Her second cup turned out even cuter—and she left saying it was the most fun she’d had in a long time.
These stories make me laugh now, but they also remind me of something important: real connection comes from imperfect moments. Crafting isn’t about perfection—it’s about being present, creating something together, and making memories that stick (pun intended).
Thanks for reading this little peek behind the curtain! I’ll be back next week with another post, but in the meantime, if you have a funny craft party moment—or want to make one—come book with Wrap and Rise. I’d love to bring the party to you.
Keep rising & crafting,
xo,
Jecca
